Debra Kay Fish Diette is the owner and artistic director of the Fish Diette Academy and has been teaching classical ballet
(Cecchetti and R.A.D.) for over twenty years. She started her own dance training at the age of four. Her regular instructors
were Violet Amidon, Sybil De Neergard, Joyce Hurley, Linda Gibb and Prima Ballerina Marina Svetlona. At the age of seventeen,
she was accepted at the academie of Les Grandes Canadiens in Montreal, Canada where she trained and performed for several years
with the professional company.
Subsequently, she studied and danced with the Metropolitan Opera Ballet Company of Canada and the Candian College of Dance.
Her dance career then took her to work with Virginia E. Williams of the Boston Ballet and to New York City where she trained
and danced with Joffrey-Harkness Ballet Arts and the American Ballet Theatre. One of her biggest thrills was being accepted
into the Company of Disney on Parade in California. She trained privately with the American Prima Ballerina Patricia Bowman for
over fifteen years and more recently has been affiliated with the Burklyn Ballet Theatre of Vermont and the Svetlona Dance Center.
